An Edge Architecture / Edge Building and Construction Design-Build Project

APRIL 2024

With the roof and siding completed, interior work started on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.

MARCH 2024

By the end March the new roof was up, siding started, windows were installed, and the interior spaces framed out.

Framing work continues into early March.

FEBRUARY 2024

With the foundation complete, foundation waterproofing, structural steel and wood floor framing started for the new addition.

January 2024

The continuation of our mild winter has allowed us to keep making progress. During the month of January and into early February, the footings were placed and we were able to pour concrete for the foundation.

Ground Breaking - January 2, 2024

Ground broke in early January with the team from Webster Montessori, Edge Architecture, and Edge Building and Construction. While it was bitter cold for the ground breaking we were grateful for the mild start to winter. Prep for the site began in early December. We look forward to sharing the construction progress. Renderings from Edge Architecture are included below.

About Webster Montessori School

Webster Montessori School is a non-profit, private school and children’s center providing both education and care while engaging a child’s inquisitive mind in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Montessori philosophy allows children to enhance and develop their innate joy of learning, self-motivation, discipline, and drive. Students and families alike benefit from the strong classroom environment, year-round quality care, educational opportunities, and enthusiastic support from our dedicated faculty and staff.

Webster Montessori School has outgrown its existing building and requires an addition to meet the growing needs of its students. The new addition will include:

  • Two new classrooms that include a restroom and kitchenette.

  • A library

  • A small meeting room

  • Additional considerations include mechanical space, site consideration for parking spaces and site drainage.

The school wants to maintain as much green space as possible. Outdoor activities and supporting curriculum are very important to their program.
